I’m spending part of my time in Duluth, where I’ll be tonight for the conclusion to the five-day Pete Fest — an extended birthday party for legendary Duluth music scene doorman Pete Cich — at Wussow’s Concert Cafe with an amazing lineup including the Mud Puppies, Boss Mama & The Jebberhooch, Tony Petersen from the Social Animals and Saltydog.

Trey Anastasio plays a pair of acoustic shows with Jeff Tanski in the region, in Minneapolis and Bayfield, Wis. Saturday and Sunday.
