Los Bitchos has a unique sound, heavily influenced by cumbia. They’re playing in Los Angeles April 20, the day before Phish plays three nights at Hollywood Bowl.

Hollywood Bowl Night Zero Option: Los Bitchos at El Rey Theatre April 20

April 12, 2023 in blog post, live events

Phish fans in town next week a day before the band’s three-night run (April 21-23) at Hollywood Bowl should definitely consider catching Los Bitchos, the all-female Latin-infused psychedelic rock band from London.

There’s a reason Los Bitchos was picked to open up for King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard last month in Europe. These women have an incredible psychedelic sound that will certainly appeal to many Phish fans. I recently published an interview with guitarist Serra Petale. Read it and learn more of about Los Bitchos’ cumbia-influenced sound here.

Los Bitchos is headlining a bill with another band from the psych rock arena, Bratty, for a show at the El Rey Theatre, 5515 Wilshire Blvd., Thursday, April 20. Purchase tickets here.

The event is listed with an 8 p.m. start time. I’ll try and update this story if I can run down set times.

There is another band, Conexion Divina, that opens up. I can’t speak for their music, nor for Bratty’s, but both Los Bitchos and Bratty are slated to appear at Levitation’s Austin Psych Fest with runs April 28-30; Both bands are appearing April 30.
