Minnesota’s veteran jam band The Big Wu has a trio of live shows planned in October.
The jams will develop inside the long shadows of Mount Rushmore at Cohort Craft Brewery - Black Hills in Hill City, S.D. on Saturday, Oct. 4.
Get tickets for that 6 p.m. (MST) show here.
The party heads back closer to home the following day in Sioux Falls, where the Wu plays Icon Lounge, Sunday, Oct. 5, at 7 p.m. (CST).
Here’s the ticket link for that.

Lastly, The Big Wu headlines “Heading Up North,” a music celebration at the historic Chateau Theatre in Rochester on Oct. 11.
That celebration is hosted by The Lost Forty. Also on the bill is Clay Fulton & The Lost Forty, Tae & The Neighborly, Molly Brandt, Audrey Robinson, Josiah Smith and Jeff Kelly.
Grab tickets for that all ages fest here. The music starts at 5 p.m.
The band has a lot of things in the works at the moment, maybe none bigger than an upcoming LP, though they have not yet got into the studio. Read my recent interview with Mark Joseph here.
There’s also an upcoming live single to be dropped soon. Here’s the last one — “Red Sky” — from their 30th anniversary show at The Fitzgerald Theatre in Saint Paul from 2022.
