It’s another wild week of live music in Minnesota.
Austrian heavy psych band, the Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, John Scofield’s Combo 73, Galactic, The Wood Brothers, Khruangbin, and Dogs in a Pile will all be swinging through town.
There’s also shows from Only Every Monday, TWINE, WE Collective, The Old Town Tuesday Night Jam, Grateful Al’s Not Dead featuring China Rider, the Quantum Mechanics, Mossonello, LazyLightning420, Mango Jam, Alex Rossi, EFMI, Chase and Ovation, Jon Sullivan Band, Shotgun Ragtime Band, International Reggae All Stars, JayBee and the Routine and Dr. Mambo’s Combo.
Monday, Nov. 10
This week’s installment of Only Every Monday, now inside the new Red Room at The Cabooze. This week’s guests are 2 and a Half Brains, Simon Calder and upstart jamband Greater Goods, which features guitarists Kevin Fowke and Aaron Pederson.
Tuesday, Nov. 11

The International Reggae All Stars play their weekly show at Bunkers starting at 9:30 p.m.
I have not made it back to Graydon Peterson’s Old Town Tuesday Night Jam since Reed Grimm took me a month or so ago but I have been hearing more good things about this open jazz jam at Whitey’s Old Fashioned Saloon in Northeast Minneapolis. The music goes from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Wednesday, Nov. 12
John Scofield’s Combo 73 has a pair of shows at the Dakota at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.
TWINE, the funky jam band that I help with images and run their lights, is celebrating at year since they moved their weekly residency from The Cabooze to Bunkers. The music kicks off at about 9:30 p.m. every week, with three sets that conclude at around 1 a.m.
Up in Saint Cloud, Grateful Al’s Not Dead featuring China Rider perform at the Paramount Center for the Arts. The music starts at 7 p.m.

Thursday, Nov. 13
New Orleans funk masters Galactic featuring Jelly Joseph play a big show at First Avenue at 8 p.m.
The Wood Brothers are at Pantages Theatre downtown with a 7 p.m. start.
Jambands Quantum Mechanics and Mossonello play the White Squirrel Bar in Saint Paul from 9 to midnight.
Up in Duluth, Grateful Dead string tribute LazyLightning420 play for free at Bent Paddle from 6 to 9 p.m., with Kathryne Ford doing liquid light.
Friday, Nov. 14
Khruangbin’s “Universe Smiles Upon You” anniversary tour hits First Avenue. The show is sold out and tickets were only available via the band’s fan club. The Nunnery opens with music starting at 8 p.m.
OG Minnesota jammers Mango Jam celebrate 36 years since forming with a show at The Hook and Ladder Theater. The show starts at 8:30 p.m.
Meanwhile, LazyLightning420 plays the adjoining Zen Arcade at 8 p.m.
Alex Rossi plays Bunkers at 9:30 p.m.
Upstart jamband EFMI plays at Sociable Cider Werks in Northeast Minneapolis from 7 to 10 p.m.
Saturday, Nov. 15
Prince tribute Chase and Ovation has its monthly Bunkers gig at 9:30 p.m. The cover is $20.
Jersey jam quintet Dogs in a Pile plays the Fine Line at 8:30 p.m.
Jon Sullivan Band returns to Shaws Bar in Northeast Minneapolis with music from 8 to 11 p.m.
Sunday, Nov. 16
Shotgun Ragtime Band returns to Driftwood for Sunday No. 752. Phine & Friends start out the music at 6:30 p.m.
Dr. Mambo’s Combo returns for their long-running Bunkers residency at 9:30 p.m.
