We’ve got some pretty amazing musical visiting Minnesota this week.
Some highlights on the national touring front include the New Orleans Suspects, Dope Lemon, Leo Kottke and Primus.
There’s a number of free events, including a pair of outdoor, lakeside performances from the likes of Funk N Spuds and Reed Grimm and Friends.
WEDNESDAY
Leo Kottke is playing the NorShore Theatre in Duluth on Wednesday, and there were still seats available as of Tuesday morning. Show is at 8 p.m.
The Big Wu’s Mark Joseph will be joined by Steph Devine and Jess Larson at Charlie’s on Prior in Prior Lake for a free, family friendly event starting at 5 p.m.
Funk N Spuds plays a free show at the Lake Harriet Bandshell at 7 p.m.

Don’t forget to head over to Bunker’s for TWINE’s weekly residency starting at 9:30 p.m. Or Boss Mama & The Jebberhooch at their weekly Wednesday gig at The Rugged Spruce Golf Club in Mahtowa starting at 6:30 p.m.
THURSDAY
Reed Grimm and Friends play a free show at Pimento on the Lake from 6 to 9 p.m. That’s over by Lake Bde Maka Ska, and Pimento on the Lake has a lot of cool free shows coming up this summer.
The WE Collective plays its weekly show at Gluek’s in downtown Minneapolis starting at 9:30 p.m.

FRIDAY
Pert Near Sandstone with Triple Fiddle are playing Milk & Honey Ciders in St. Joseph. Tickets for the event, which is from 7 to 10 p.m., are $20.

SATURDAY
New Orleans Suspects, along with Kung Fu Hippies, will play Under The Canopy at The Hook and Ladder Theater in South Minneapolis, with doors at 6 p.m., and a 7 p.m. start.
Australian psych rockers Dope Lemon hit the Varsity Theater in Minneapolis for an 8 p.m. start.
Danny Frank & The Smoky Gold play The Rugged Spruce Golf Club up in Mahtowa for a 7 p.m. start.
SUNDAY
Sessanta V. 2.0, with Primus, Puscifer and A Perfect Circle will fill the Xcel Energy Center with a mix of heavy music starting at 7:30 p.m.
Lastly, Mark Joseph has another free, family friendly show at Dawn’s Corner Bar in Dundas starting at 2 p.m.
